Men wanted for questioning on cyclist attack case

MIDRAND - Police are looking for two men wanted for questioning in connection to the biker attack incident that occurred on 1 January.

Mountain biker Filip Rafalski was attacked with knives by two men on Village Road in Blue Hills on 1 January. Rafalski sustained injuries to his face which required stitching. He told Midrand Reporter that he was lucky to have escaped with his life. A woman, Selina Tshona, screamed and scared off Rafalski’s attackers who fled the scene with his bike.

Constable Matome Tlamela said, “Police are looking for two men in connection with the case; no arrests have been made yet.” Tlamela emphasised that cyclists are advised not to cycle alone to avoid being a target of criminals.

Tlamela added that anyone with information, that can assist investigations, should contact detective Constable Joseph Khauli on 073 521 2508.
