Many new faces at Unity

BROADACRES - Unity College in Broadacres, a school for pupils with delayed scholastic ability, said hello to many new pupils and a few staff members.

The school caters for pupils between the ages of six to 20; with small classes to cater for individual needs. According to advancement officer for the school, Michelle Kirk, twice a year an individual development plan is formulated for each child to promote the unique growth of academic, social and emotional skills in every pupil.

The wet weather on 14 January did not dampen the excitement and anticipation of Unity’s new pupils.

The school welcomed their new pupils with open arms and warm smiles and were equally excited to welcome two new junior teachers, Vicky Lamb and Monya Oosthuysen.

“We trust that you will all have a happy and special time with all of us at Unity,” Kirk exclaimed.
