Rabie Ridge ATM bombing

MIDRAND - Rabie Ridge police have confirmed that an Absa ATM was bombed in the early hours on 5 March.

Constable Jacob Mhlongo, the media relations officer of the station, said the incident took place at Phomolong section next to the AZZ motor spares and parts garage.

Although it is unclear of the exact amount the criminals fled with, Mhlongo said it was a substantial amount. “Investigations are still taking place and we are appealing to the public to come forward with any information they might have.”

Police were called to the scene in the morning when the incident had long taken place it seems, as Mhlongo said there were no witnesses to the actual occurrence.
