Beach fun at Poplar Academy

MIDRAND - Education is all about gaining a world view different to that of your own and believing in the impossible, and the children of Poplar Academy recently learned these two very important lessons in a spectacularly fun, beach way.

On 16 March, the preschoolers of the academy started the week off on a winning note. “We were visited by On Cue Theatre productions. They came and did a fantastic show for our preschool pupils on colours, the alphabet, time, shapes and the water cycle,” said Bonita Visagie from the academy.

“The children enjoyed the dancing and heard lots of fun stories.”

Fun and learning seem to be a great combination at the academy. On 13 March, their preschoolers had what they’ve dubbed as water fun under the theme of ‘On the beach’. Seeing as Midrand does not have any beaches, the academy had to get creative. “The children had fun running through sprinklers and playing in water shells with bubbles,” said Visagie.
