Two drug dealers off the streets

MIDRAND - Two suspected drug dealers were arrested at a shopping centre in Randjiesfontein.

The men aged 28 and 35 were arrested for dealing and possession of drugs at the centre on 11 March.

Constable Matome Tlamela, head of communications at the Midrand Police Station said, “The police were patrolling the area when they spotted two unknown males exchanging something.”

The police approached the two men, introduced themselves and searched the suspects.

During the search they found that the 28-year-old man was in possession of 10 packets of dagga, while the other had two on him.

“Both suspects were notified of their constitutional rights by the police, and were immediately arrested for dealing and possession of dagga,” said Tlamela.
