Animals in Distress needs landscaping assistance

VORNA VALLEY - The Society for Animals in Distress, located on an 11-acre farm in Vorna Valley, is looking for assistance from local landscaping and gardening companies.

“Our gardening is just never complete,” said Carmen Douglas-Kilfoil, the organisation’s corporate and media fundraiser.

“We pride ourselves in the upkeep of our farm, fondly referred to as The Paddocks.”

Douglas-Kilfoil said the centre served as a place of hope and healing. “We also love that we provide our neighbours and local passers-by with something beautiful to look at amidst the many homes, complexes and construction surrounding us.”

She said they were specifically looking for assistance with regular cutting of the grass and weeding along their perimeter fence, as well as garden upkeep.

Douglas-Kilfoil invited landscaping and gardening companies to call them should they wish to help with the service.
