Blue Hills College celebrates Women’s Month

BLUE HILLS - Blue Hills College's Generation Earth initiative hosted a high tea at the college to celebrate Women's Month.

A teacher at the college Haseena Rahim said, “We chose to invite all women affiliated with the school, women from the ANC Women’s League, Generation Earth, as well as Miss Earth finalists.”

Ella Bella, co-founder of Generation Earth and United Nations Environment Programme Ambassador, took to the podium to encourage guests not only to raise and build a girl child, but to invest in a boy child as well. She said, “When the community invests in both girls and boys, we build a stronger tomorrow for the youth.”

Thandi Mara, deputy chairperson for Midrand Lilly Farm ANC branch, gave a keynote address.
