UPDATE: Patient entrapped in vehicle following serious head-on collision in Barbeque Downs
BARBEQUE DOWNS - EMER-G-MED paramedics and City of Joburg Fire Department helped to extricate an entrapped patient from a vehicle that was involved in a serious head-on collision on the corners of the R55 and Shakespeare in Kyalami on 28 August.
Spokesperson for Emer-G-Med Danielle Dooley said, “On arrival EMER-G-MED paramedics assessed the patients finding that three people had sustained moderate to serious injuries. One of the patients was entrapped in the vehicle and sustained serious injuries.”
Dooley said the patient was stabilised on scene before being transported to hospital under Advanced Life Support Care.
She said Metro police were on scene to investigate the cause of the collision.
