Two men escape serious injury in light aircraft crash
MIDRAND - A light aircraft crashed in a field off Republic Road in Midrand on the evening of 2 September.
ER24 paramedics and the fire department attended the scene and found the aircraft’s two occupants escaped serious injury.
ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said, “On their arrival, paramedics found the light aircraft lying overturned in the veld. Two men were found walking around the aircraft. Paramedics assessed the patients and found that both men had fortunately escaped serious injury.”
Meiring said the cause of the crash is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
