Weather ugly but the children, beautiful

MIDRAND - Despite the cold weather on 4 September, the Sedi-Laka Primary School beauty pageant was held without any glitches.

The school based in Ivory Park erected a stage on their playground and gave their pupils a show to remember. Children from Grade R through to Grade 6 participated in the pageant while their classmates cheered them on.

“We would like to give special thanks to some of the sponsors that chipped in, in a big way, namely Stageworks for the stage, A2Z who gave juice to the participants, and Imbizo Shisanyama which gave us gifts for the contestants as well as platters,” said Tokologo Motshoane, organiser of the pageant.

Motshoane said the day was kept alive through the music and entertainment that was provided by the DJs of Diip Mii Music. “They really did a great job, [seeing as the weather was not on our side],” she said.
