Big up to Midrand detective

MIDRAND - A man has been sentenced to three years' imprisonment for possessing an unlicensed firearm.

 

The accused, Bongani Nzimande, was arrested during a routine stop and search operation by Midrand police in Market Street on 20 August this year.

He pleaded guilty to the charges.

“Detective Constable Joseph Khauli is the one who investigated this case and on behalf of the station’s management [we are proud of the results of his work],” said Constable Matome Tlamela, head of communications at the police station.
