Two arrested for ID fraud at construction site

MIDRAND - Two people were recently arrested for fraud at a construction site in Midrand after they were allegedly caught using identity documents that don't belong to them.

 

Midrand police spokesperson Constable Matome Tlamela said, “The suspects were requested to bring their identity documents so they could be offered work at the construction site. The identity documents were checked and police were called to the site when personnel at the site found that the documents were allegedly fraudulent.”

The suspects will appear at Midrand Magistrates’ Court soon facing a charge of fraud.
