Lulu’s school concert

MIDRAND - Little Lulu Day Care Centre in Glen Austin held their annual concert at Uitsig Primary School On 7 November.

Their storyline was written and narrated by Lorraine Reiser, owner of the daycare centre. It was called A Crazy Story – and it certainly was. The comical and fun story was well received by the audience. “The children spoke beautifully,” said Reiser.

She commended their stage presence and said their dancing to the lively music was superb.

“It was meant to be the story of Little Red Riding Hood but, instead, Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and even Shrek and Princess Fiona came onto the stage as well. Then we had Prince Charming too,” exclaimed Reiser. “They all got married.”

The children entered from the back of the hall and got up onto the stage, all dressed in wedding gear to the sound of the classical wedding march. “There were a good few tears in the hall as all the parents and guests stood up to watch the procession,” she said.

“We also had the Fairy Godmother, three little pigs, eight dwarfs, eight marching soldiers and little Buttercup girls; and Spiderman, Batman, and Superman were also included in the story line,” said Reiser.

The children acted their hearts out to keep up with the crazy but brilliant storyline.

“After the concert was the graduation and prize-giving ceremonies,” she said. “It was a morning to remember.”
