Well done, detective!Midrand detective commended for his work

HALFWAY HOUSE - Midrand Police Station would like to commend the work of Detective Warrant Officer Sarela Wilson Madimetja.

The station’s spokesperson, Constable Matome Tlamela, said Sarela did exceptional work in investigating three cases.

In February, Brian Ncube was arrested for house break-ins and theft on Karee Street. Thanks to Sarela’s hard work, the 29-year-old suspect was sentenced to eight years in prison.

Tlamela added, “Midrand police are proud of the way the detective handled the investigation. In the second case of a business break-in and theft which occurred at a hair salon on Market Street on 11 August, Amos Phangisa was arrested and sentenced to four years in prison.”

In the third case, 26-year-old Mfuduxi Khumalo was arrested for a house break-in on Donovan Road in Glen Austin on 20 May. Khumalo was sentenced to two years, suspended for five years.
