Visit Groenvoer Christmas Country Market this Saturday
MIDRAND - If you need a place to go to for for the whole family this Saturday, you can spend time at the Groenvoer Christmas Country Market. Market visitors can expect a variety of food, clothing, jewellery, arts and crafts, plants and book stalls to great Christmas gifts at affordable prices.
Market manager Cathy Khoury-Prinsloo is asking visitors to support charity stalls such as Animals in Distress, the Lions Club and Midrand SPCA.
There will be entertainment and animal demos for visitors to enjoy, the Greyhound Rescue Group SA will showcase the ancient, speedy and loyal breed. Khoury-Prinsloo said, “The SaveMe Rescue Reptile group will discuss some of the snakes and exotic creatures they have rehabilitated. Plus there’s butterflies and moths from Lepsoc, and flower royalty on show at the Witwatersrand Orchid Society stall.”
Dance-4-Fun will dazzle with dynamic moves, including Piloxi, a fun fusion of standing pilates, boxing and dance. There will also be pony rides, free jumping castle & crafts. There will be market day specials such as 10 percent less on all dog & cat food and treats, mixed grain, wild bird seed and all grass bales, while stocks last. The market is at Groenvoer on Olifantsfontein Rd (R562) Midrand from 9am till 2pm.
