It was reported that four men broke into the victim’s home in Duduza near Ivory Park and one of them allegedly pointed a firearm at the complainant while three other suspects walked into the house carrying an axe and iron rods.
Ivory Park police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Neldah Sekgobela explained, “The suspects allegedly demanded money and he told them that he did not have any. The suspects beat up the complainant and the man carrying a firearm shot the victim on the leg. The complainant was found and taken to hospital.”
The robbers allegedly searched the house and stole an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene in a red City Golf with an unknown registration number.
Police are looking for any information that may lead to an arrest.
