Call for public comment on Waterfall Fields mixed-use development

WATERFALL - Ward 93 councillor Annette Deppe said notice was given for application for an Environmental Impact Assessment Process, which was submitted to the Gauteng Department of Agriculture and Rural Development for proposed mixed-use development known as Waterfall Fields.

 

Deppe said, “Affected residents can contact me for more information on the proposal.”

According to a report on the development, “The site for the proposed development is situated to the south of the existing Allandale Road, to the east of the existing N1 highway and immediately to the west of the Gautrain Maintenance Yard. It is furthermore located on the south-eastern corner of the intersection between the proposed K60 Provincial Road and the R101 Provincial Road. The study area is situated on Portions 782, 783 and 784 (Portion of Portion 1) of the Farm Waterval 5 IR and Portion 4 of the Farm Longmeadow 297 IR.”

Date of notice is until 14 December.

In order to ensure community members are identified as an interested or affected party, they must submit their name, contact information and interest in the matter, in writing.
