Ivory Park police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Neldah Sekobela, said it is alleged that the deceased and the suspect fought over a woman who was dancing with the deceased at the tavern.
Sekobela said, “The victim was allegedly assaulted with a wooden plank during the argument and was taken to hospital. He died a few days later in the hospital.”
The suspect was found and arrested in a taxi, which was about to leave for Zimbabwe, after police received a tip-off. Sekgobela explained that the suspect did not get bail as he is an illegal immigrant.
