Five suspects rob shop owner, still on the run

RABIE RIDGE - A shop owner in Kanana was robbed of an undisclosed amount of money and cigarettes by five suspects on 12 January.

 

The suspects made a hole in the wall and gained entry to the shop where they demanded money and cigarettes from the owner and his employees.

Rabie Ridge police spokesperson, Constable Jacob Nhlongo said, “We ask shop owners and the community to be vigilant at this time of the year. Many people do not have money after the festive season and will not hesitate to rob anyone.”

Police are looking for the five suspects. A business robbery case docket has been opened.
