President Park is the new home for Tumelo children
MIDRAND - A new home and a new beginning for children in need in Midrand
Tumelo Home for children and young people with mental and physical disabilities is set to relocate, with their new premises to be situated at Steyn Road in President Park.
The home, currently based in Ivory Park Ext 2, also received a donation of a R90 000 wall for their new home from Hollywoodbets.net, a company based in Midrand.
Centre manager of the home, Solly Khuthama said the donation came at the right time as the new property did not have a fence around it.
Khuthama said, “Tumelo Home has 330 children on our waiting list. We were afraid to bring our residents here because there was no wall, due to the donation we can now keep them safe.”
He also appealed to the Midrand community to assist with more sponsorships to meet the home’s needs.
Nosi Dlamini, Hollywoodbets.net’s marketing team leader said, “Our relationship with the home started three years ago. Each of our 10 branches submits names of charities we should support annually and Tumelo Home was identified as one of our beneficiaries.”
