Police nab two suspects for possession of stolen goods

MIDRAND - Two men have been arrested in Kanana Ext.4 for allegedly robbing a shop owner

 

Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department Loss Control Unit members, together with Tembisa precinct police officers, recently arrested two male suspects when they were found in possession of cartons of cigarettes which had allegedly been stolen from a shop in Rabie Ridge.

The suspects were arrested on 12 April at Kanana Ext 4.

In a statement, Metro police spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Wilfred Kgasago said two unlicensed firearms were confiscated from the suspects as well. “The pair, whose ages are 25 and 27, were charged at Rabie Ridge Police Station for possession of unlicenced firearms and ammunition as well as possession of suspected stolen goods. They are expected to appear in the Tembisa Magistrates’ Court soon,” said Kgasago.
