One person has been killed after a collision involving a truck and a car on the R21 south between Nelmapius and Olifantsfontein, near Midrand.
According to Emer-G-Med’s facebook post of the incident, their paramedics responded to an emergency call, arriving to find that a car had been T-boned by a truck.
Unfortunately, on assessment paramedics found that the driver of the car had succumbed to his horrific injuries. Nothing further could be done and paramedics declared him dead on the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
Emer-G-Med also reported that there are still heavy delays approaching the scene. The ambulance service’s spokesperson could not be reached at the time of publication.
