Kelci Cronje, in Grade 8 at Beaulieu College, is fast becoming a horse rider to be reckoned with.
Headmitress at the school Danielle Meikle said Cronje, like all horse riders, has an immense love of horses and it is this passion that led her to enrol at Beaulieu College, known to be one of the top equestrian schools.
Meikle added, “This past weekend Kelci participated in the World Cup Qualifier at Maple Ridge and was placed first in three different categories. For her achievements at the World Cup Qualifier, she was awarded the Victrix Ludorum trophy.
“She also recently became the SA Junior Champion in the one metre high jump using a horse, category.”
Cronje was selected for the Gauteng Horse Riding team and the team won gold at the South African Junior Derby Championships held in Maple Ridge recently.
She added that the school was proud of Cronje and believed she will go far.
