For the love of dogs
MIDRAND – Christ Church in Midrand donated dog food to the local SPCA.
Midrand SPCA’s Jerry Seemise recently sent out a thank you to the schoolchildren, teachers and parents of Christ Church in Midrand for their dog food donation.
The schoolgoers and teachers also recently visited the SPCA for an educational session, presented by Seemise, on basic pet care and the importance of sterilisation.

The youngsters had the opportunity of interacting with the animals and learn more about the different breeds of dogs.
Hlengiwe Shakung, marketing co-ordinator of the Christ Church Preparatory School and College said, “The school highly values outreach and being witnesses for Christ to the Midrand community and beyond. One of the local organisations that is close to our hearts is the Midrand SPCA, and this year, our Grade 4 class decided to have the Midrand SPCA as one of its outreach projects.”

Shakung said the schoolchildren also learn a lot from the SPCA with the educational sessions and enjoy socialing with some of the animals.

“We would like to encourage more individuals and organisations to consider visiting and contributing towards the Midrand SPCA, especially as this is their busiest period of the year,” concluded Shakung.
