10 years for murder

IVORY PARK – A 10-year sentence for murder.

Ivory Park Police Station commander Brigadier David Mbongeni Ngcobo has welcomed a sentence for a man who was arrested for fatally stabbing another man last year.

Tembisa Magistrates’ Court sentenced Siphelele Gomba (25) from Ivory Park Ext 2 to a decade in prison for the murder.

“We would like to thank the community for their assistance. Gomba was arrested immediately after the offence was committed. We hope that the family of the deceased will find solace in the fact that the person who caused them so much pain has been convicted and has been made to pay for his deeds,” said Ngcobo.

“In the same vein, I want to congratulate the investigative officer, Sergeant Queen Masutha, for the job well done in her investigations.”
