Midrand Police Station Commander, Lieutenant Colonel David Mahloromela writes:

Read Community and police meet to fight crime

We have been involved in festive season operations with other law enforcement agencies since 10 October to ensure that the people of South Africa are safe at all times.

Thank you to all the men and women in blue and our strategic partners who have contributed generously to addressing crime in Midrand this whole year.

Our appeal is to each and every person in Midrand to put their shoulder to the plough and move relentlessly forward in taking the fight to criminals.

We have had some great successes during the year, but we were faced with many challenges as well. I am of a view that our successes outweigh our challenges.

We wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to every member of our community who supported us in our fight against crime and look forward to their continued support in the New Year.

On behalf of the police in Midrand, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
