Security guards remove fallen tree
MIDRAND – Security company helps clear the road to ease traffic flow
Ria Sebetsa Security Services once again responded to a call to assist the community of Halfway Gardens by clearing Van Heerden Road, which was blocked by a tree on 22 February.
A spokesperson for the company, Danny Maduray, said they received a call from community members who informed them about the tree that was blocking the road in both directions, causing massive traffic delays.

“We took the initiative to attend to the complaint, which was during peak hour traffic. While we were trying to remove the tree, the Metro police stopped to assist with the traffic and we also stopped a garden service vehicle and asked to borrow their chainsaw,” he said.
The tree had fallen due to the heavy rains experienced across the province. Maduray added that although they are a security company, they also give back by responding to calls outside their line of duty.
