Water supply has been restored to certain parts of Vorna Valley and Halfway House which had been without water since 16 May due to much-needed repairs on water pipes.
The City of Johannesburg constantly tweeted updates about the water disruption to keep the residents in the loop about the progress.

City technicians worked throughout 17 May to repair the pipes and flush out sand which had caused dirty water in the supply.
Ward 112 councillor Madeleine Hicklin said the problem was caused by a faulty valve in the reservoir.
Ward 132 councillor Annette Deppe said City technicians had worked tirelessly on 17 May and 18 May to restore the water supply.
The City had made available water tankers for the residents.
