Big treat for Mighty Ark’s children
MIDRAND – Fun day for children at Mighty Ark Day Care Centre Read here to find out more.
It was excitement all round as children from the Mighty Ark Day Care Centre in Noordwyk received food and toys from the staff and management of the Blue Hills McDonald’s on Women’s Day.
The children had fun finger painting and pasting the words describing the beautiful qualities of all women.
The principal of Mighty Ark, Avril Hyland explained to the children why it is important to honour and love themselves – the girls should know that Jesus loves them and that they are special and precious and the boys should always respect all women and never lift their hands up to a woman.

The children thanked Blue Hills McDonald’s by singing a song for them and presented Mildred Nzhinga, the operations consultant, with a beautiful drawing which represents how strong women are, just like the roots of a tree. This also reminded them of what the different seasons’ trees go through, including the times when flowers sprout with sweetness and bring a beautiful display of different colours.
Mighty Ark is a Christian based preschool and runs a holiday club during the school holidays.
