Celebrating caregivers

MIDRAND – 31 women pour their love, laughter and life into uplifting others.

Botshabelo, a non-profit organisation in Crowthorne, recently thanked its caregivers who work at the organisation. The organisation comprises 31 women who pour their love, laughter and life into uplifting others.

To celebrate Women’s Month, the organisation chose to lift up mothers, wives, sisters, daughters, bosses, employees, colleagues, friends and neighbours.

“We celebrate the resilience of women beautiful and strong although historically vulnerable and even now at times – voiceless,” said Makopano Mutloatse, fundraising team member at Botshabelo.

“Women like Paulina Molemohi, one of the caregivers at Botshabelo, who, every day cuddles, feeds and cares for our babies as if they were her own or teacher Marvelous Phiri who, every school day, ignites a spark of curiosity in her eager class of pre-schoolers.”

She stressed the fact that while the women at Botshabelo were amazing, they could not do what they do without the help of the community.

Caregiver Tinevimbo Makeche feeds one of the babies at the orphanage.

“The 31 women at Botshabelo are changing lives each day, but they are made stronger by a community that rises to the challenge of joining us.”
