Calling all actors and artists

MIDRAND – Midrand Primary Lebone School's Play invites other schools to participate in the festival.

Midrand Primary School will present its third annual Midrand Lebone School’s Play Festival on 21 October.

Various schools will participate in the show including Midrand Primary School’s drama group, Midrand High School, and Sagewood and Asteri primary schools. There will be a variety of performances such as dramatised poetry, monologues, mini-plays and solo verse.

Brian Jokozela, the coordinator of the festival, said he was still in negotiations with the National Children’s Theatre Company which performed Oliver Twist at last year’s festival to return with another performance this year.

Jokozela said he was hoping that more schools would register for participation and was calling on schools to join in and allow the talent of their pupils to be seen.

The festival will take place in the school’s hall from 9am to 3pm.
