Summerhill Preparatory School and College would like to congratulate its Mathletics stars.
Mathletics is an online learning programme that provides online games and questions and is aligned to the South African mathematics curriculum across foundation, intermediate and senior phases.
“Only six months after introducing the Mathletics programme in the school, Summerhill had four students ranked in the top 100 students in the country and one class in the top 50 classes in South Africa,” said Summerhill Preparatory School and College’s Emma Watson.
The students who made it to the top 100 leaderboards are four grade seven pupils Malaika Kamal, Lushen Naidoo, Savana Hands and Andulire Mvula.

Students earn points by completing activities and tasks and also when they play Mathletics live. The leaderboards are reset every 24 hours, therefore the students have to work hard every day to appear on the leaderboard regularly.
“Summerhill looks forward to having many more students and classes appear on the leaderboard in the future,” said Watson.
