Summerhill Johannesburg mini councillors Zama Gumede and Nireshka Soman have been honoured for excelling in their duties this year.
“We are privileged to have had them represent Summerhill with the diligence, dedication and grace that they have. We thank them for all that they did in their year and for the differences they have made in the community,” said Teressa Oates the administrator at Summerhill Johannesburg Mini Councillors.
This year the school has decided to introduce a new award, the Summerhill JMC Committee Coordinator. Those awarded with this title will have the responsibility of leading the JMC Committee.
The JMC Summerhill Committee coordinator for next year H’redae Moodley. Mini councillors for next year are Arya Govender and Jemma Jansen Van Nieuwenhuizen.
“We are confident that our mini councillors and committee of 2018 will continue the high standard.”
