Office park shooting in Barbeque Downs becomes second incident in one evening

Following the fatal shooting of a security officer in Olievenhoutbosch last night (25 October), the second shooting of a security officer took place in Barbeque Downs a few hours later at 11.35pm

It has been reported that the security officer saw some men inside the office complex and was shot in the lower body when he approached them, according to Arrive Alive.

The 47-year-old man was attended to by a Netcare 911 advanced life support paramedic.

Analgesic medication was administered to manage his pain, and once stabilised, he was transported to hospital for further assessment and care.

The South African Police Service and several private securities companies were at the scene.
