A Midrand business robbery is said to have been foiled last week.
According to @MCVENTA on Twitter, three suspects were arrested. Two unlicensed firearms and ammunition were recovered, along with a stolen Volkswagen panel van.
The MMC for Public Safety, Michael Sun, said in a tweet that it was the Joburg Metro police Freeway Unit who had responded.
JMPD Freeway Unit responded to a business robbery in progress in Midrand today. 3 armed robbers were apprehended, illegal firearms, ammo and a stolen VW panel van used by the robbers were recovered. Suspects detained at Midrand SAPS to face serious criminal charges. pic.twitter.com/ixvK7hZXw5
