Midrand police arrested a 30-year-old man who was found in possession of dagga near Corporate Park South, Midrand, on 4 April.

The police were conducting routine patrols when they spotted four men walking along Old Pretoria Road and decided to stop and search them.

“One of the men was found with dagga in his pocket and when he realised that he was in trouble, he decided to bribe the police with an amount of R750 which did not work out well for the suspect because the man has now been arrested for being in possession of dagga and for bribery,” said Midrand police spokesperson Sergeant Matome Tlamela.

The suspect will appear in the Midrand Magistrates' Court.
