Land Rover stolen

MIDRAND – Midrand police are looking for a stolen Land Rover that was taken in Vorna Valley.

Midrand police are looking for a white Land Rover that was stolen in Vorna Valley on 1 May between 11am and 4pm.

According to police, when the owner of the vehicle arrived home, she tried using her remote controller to open her gate but it did not work. She later noticed that the rail of the gate had been tampered with and damaged.

The woman contacted Ria Sebetsa security company after she suspected foul play and was afraid of entering her home alone.

Security officers checked the property and found that a break-in had taken place. Items that were stolen included the vehicle with registration plate CG77TM GP, two laptops, two televisions and DVD player.

Midrand police’s investigating officer Detective Joseph Khauli said police have received information from the woman who was contacted by an anonymous person saying that they had seen the vehicle in Attridgeville, Pretoria.

The police said the vehicle has two black stripes from the roof down to the bonnet.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Khauli.

Details: Detective Joseph Khauli 073 521 2508.
