Court rules against suspect

MIDRAND – Midrand police arrested a man for housebreaking and theft in Halfway House.

 

Midrand Police Station’s spokesperson Sergeant Matome Tlamela confirmed the arrest of a man in connection with housebreaking and theft in Halfway House.

The incident occurred between 9pm and midnight on 16 May and police found evidence of forced entry.

“The suspect broke one of the house windows in order to gain entry and went on to steal a laptop, five pairs of All-Star Converse sneakers, one pair of Adidas sneakers and R600 cash.”

The suspect appeared in the Alexandra Magistrates’ Court on 18 May where bail was denied and he remains in custody at the Johannesburg Central Prison.
