MIDRAND – House robber sentenced to seven years three years later.

A Tembisa resident was sentenced to seven years’ imprisonment in the Alexandra Magistrates’ Court on 22 June for a crime he committed in 2015.

Oracio Ntimbe was arrested in January for a house robbery he committed in January 2015 in President Park, Midrand.

“Ntimbe used a firearm to threaten the victim and went on to steal a TV, cellphone, microwave, and cash [amounting to] R8 000 altogether,” said the Midrand Police Station spokesperson Sergeant Matome Tlamela.

The Midrand police team who handled this case found fingerprints at the scene of the crime. The team was able to trace Ntimbe’s whereabouts in January this year and he was arrested in Tembisa.
