Man in possession of dagga and fake money arrested

MIDRAND – Man arrested for the possession of dagga and fake money is expected to appear in court for the second time.

Midrand police arrested a man for being in possession of dagga and fake money after they received an anonymous tip-off.

The man was arrested on 13 August in the Blue Hills area.

Leelloud Latshman appeared in the Midrand Magistrates’ Court on 14 August and was denied bail and is expected to re-appear in court on 23 August.

“Latshman is currently being held at the Johannesburg Prison until his court appearance,” said Midrand police acting spokesperson Constable Thabiso Selowa.

Officers are conducting further investigations to see if the suspect may be linked to other cases in the area.
