Church of Scientology give a helping hand in Midrand

MIDRAND – The Church of Scientology has been sanitising a number of essential service offices in Midrand.

The Church of Scientology volunteer ministers’ Covid-19 response team has been sanitising essential service offices to help curb the spread of the virus.

Goodwill manager Theresa Hurter said, “The volunteer ministers are supporting the president’s mandate, and are aware that the few that are putting their lives at risk to help others and keep the wheels of the country rolling need all the support in staying safe.”

She added that the volunteer ministers have imported the most effective product for decontamination and sanitisation, and have used it to clean essential service facilities.

Hurter said, “The product… is the most cutting-edge military-grade decontamination technology in the world. It was originally developed to combat biological warfare.”

“The 205-member strong team deploy daily to sanitise the homes of senior members of essential service, police stations, governmental offices, clinics, shelters, orphanages, police and traffic police vehicles and the testing clinics for Covid-19, to name a few.”

The church have sponsored the project through individual parishioner donations with the aim of covering as much ground as possible. Some of the areas they have covered include clinics, shelters and police stations around Midrand. The volunteers have also handed out booklets as well as delivered small seminars at each visit on the best way to avoid infection.
