The provincial police have opened up a case of murder and have arrested four suspects following the discovery of a grave containing three bodies in Olievenhoutbosch.
Provincial spokesperson for the police, Brigadier Mathapelo Peters said the three victims, one identified as one of the suspects’ mother, were allegedly murdered and buried in their yard in the suburb.
The arrest occurred on the evening of 4 August after the police received information on the crime.
Peters added, “Police have opened a murder case and have at this stage detained four suspects for inquiry pending forensic confirmation of the murder of three victims.
“The grave has since been declared a crime scene and has been cordoned off to avoid any tampering until the crime scene experts from the forensic science laboratory of the police have processed the scene.”
