Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) K9 Unit and Johannesburg Organised Crime Unit, Hawks, arrested two males between the ages of 39 and 40 years for possession of stolen leather rolls in Midrand.
On March 30 officers followed up on information received on March 29 of a possible robbery and kidnapping around the Isando area.

The team responded to the location given and the description of the suspect’s vehicle a white Iveco was received.
The vehicle was spotted and stopped on the N1 South in Midrand. Two suspects were apprehended and five suspects escaped.
The vehicle was searched and found to be equipped with leather rolls in excess of R750 000 worth.
Both suspects were detained at Midrand Police Station and the vehicle used in the commission of the crime was seized.
