Midrand police apprehended a suspect on April 7 for reckless driving on Third Road in Midrand.
The male suspect was found with a fraudulent driving licence and an expired visa. He was arrested and charged with reckless and negligent driving and fraud.
Midrand Police Station spokesperson Constable Eliot Mabulane said, “In his possession, he had two devices, which were laptops, that are suspected to be used in the commission of a crime.”
Police confiscated the devices and booked it into the police storeroom.
The suspect will appear in the Midrand Magistrate’s Court to answer to all allegations.
Station commander Brigadier Molefi David Tsotsotso applauded Midrand police members for the arrests and always being vigilant when they patrol.
Members of the community are encouraged to report any suspected crimes to the police.
