Sector 2 joint operation leads to another drug dealer arrest

A large amount of dagga was confiscated from the suspect and handed over to the police.

A successful high visibility joint operation in Midrand Sector 2 was conducted on May 27 between 19:00 and 00:00.

The operation teams included Midrand police, Sector 2 Crime Forum patrollers, ADT Security, ARN Security, Hawkeye Security, and TRSS Security.

During the operation, the teams checked out a number of vehicles in the area. Much later in the night, the big success of the operation was when they found a suspect in possession of drugs.

A strategic plan was rapidly formulated which led to the detaining of a suspect. During further investigation, the team uncovered a substantial amount of cash, drugs, and packaging instruments. The suspect was alleged to have the intention of dealing drugs.

A large amount of dagga was confiscated from the suspect and handed over to the police.

Residents and community members were urged to report anonymously if necessary if they suspected criminal activities in the community.
