Young music duo eager to make name for themselves in an unpopular genre
Music producers and composers Nkanyiso Ntshangase and Mzameleni Lindani Sangweni believe the album they are currently working on will be a hit and many people will love it.
The multi-talented duo of Nkanyiso Ntshangase and Mzameleni Lindani Sangweni are eager to revamp the tribal piano music genre.
The two friends originally from Kwa-Nongoma are currently in Midrand to pursue music careers as producers and singers.

Ntshangase (29) and Swangweni (28) came together to form The Vigilante group in November last year after realising that they were both talented in composing various music genres.
In May, they released their first seven-track EP, iNqola (a cart).
Ntshangase said although tribal piano was not popular compared to other genres, their style of music catered for everyone.
“Our style of music comprises amapiano, tribal and afro-soul. The aim is to ensure that everyone who loves various beats such as traditional, band and piano is catered for. We want to reach both the young ones and the old,” said Ntshangase.

He said he fell in love with music when he was a teenager, and following the journey of well-known hip-hop artist 50 Cent made him fall in love with that genre.
For Sangweni, he believes the music industry is great when people have a passion for it and not just to make money.
He said they were working on releasing an album by the end of this year.

“A lot of people seem to have loved our style of music from the response we have been getting. So as we speak, we are in studio trying to put together a hot album which should be out late this year,” said Sangweni.
The young duo said they were adamant they well make the tribal piano a well-known genre and popular amongst the elders, youth and youngsters.
Their EP includes songs such as Ekhaya [at home], Sbwl [to yearn] and Imali [money].
