Talented youngster eager to impress scouts from a PSL team

Indlovu FC central attacking midfielder Sipho Gwaqubana will undergo trials with Premier Soccer League side Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila FC also known as TTM.

Gwaqubana (21) will spend two weeks with TTM before another assessment with North West University in September in a bid to take his football career to a professional level.

This is after the Ivory Park-born sensation guided his team to the Midrand Local Football Association championship recently and was scouted at the Soccer Marathon School’s trials.

Gwaqubana said he drew inspiration and motivation from his family who have supported him since he started playing soccer.

“My former coach introduced me to football at the age of seven. Now I just want to make it to the professional league. This [trial] is a huge opportunity for me and I will grab it with both hands. I will do my best to represent myself, my family and everyone around me and make them proud because they know how much I want to turn pro,” said Gwaqubana.

“I know everything will not be easy in my football journey but I am prepared to work hard and give my all whenever I am given an opportunity to play. My biggest dream is to play in Europe and I believe age is still on my side to achieve that dream.”

Gwaqubana said he was happy with the team’s achievements of securing promotion to the SAB Regional league next season.

His coach Thato Legodi is representing him as his agent.
