Perfect Fit is a supportive bra company with a charitable heart founded by Noordwyk resident Lechar Knezovich.
With every bra sold a percentage goes to the Perfect Fit Foundation which funds the surgery for underprivileged women that need a mastectomy but cannot afford it.
On August 4, Perfect Fit hosted its exclusive launch at Robo Gym in Sandton at which Knezovich opened the floor for attendees to purchase sports apparel.
“It has been an adventure getting here. I am so grateful for this moment, and for what is yet to come,” said Knezovich during the launch.
“When we grow up, we all have hopes and dreams of what we want to be and do. I don’t think anyone grows up as a young girl saying I want to go into bras especially when you find out the average bra can have between 20 to 48 components but here I am.”
Perfect Fit was an idea she started before Covid-19 and as the world came to a standstill due to the pandemic, it was not easy for her to launch the business.
According to her, the journey was by far the toughest thing she had done and it required grit, a few crying moments of frustration, a supportive husband, and determination like no other she had experienced.
It took her eight samples, five pattern makers, and many Google searches to find a manufacturer that could help her out of a list of 380.
Knezovich advised other business owners to never give up on their dreams as they may be at the base of the mountain and the climb may be difficult. She said it was worth it when you get it right, especially when you could not only help yourself but others as well.
“My goal from the very beginning was to help women. If you ask any of my friends, they will tell you how many [bra] fittings they had to go through at the beginning with the original design,” she said.
Knezovich was one of the 2022 Mrs South Africa finalists and she plans on using the platform to help more women through her initiative.
She believes in enhancing and restoring women’s confidence as it is through being confident they could open themselves up to any opportunities that may come their way.
