Following on from the very successful commemoration of Endangered Species Day, the Glen Austin Conservancy (GAC) hosted yet another fun-filled sundowner at Glen Austin Bird Sanctuary and Bullfrog Pan.
This happened on September 16 as they celebrated the arrival of Spring at their flagship venue situated on Belvedere and Douglas roads.
Both young and old came to the pan to get a feel of fresh air emanating from the pan while enjoying themselves and having light conversations.
They experience the peace and tranquillity of the pan and learnt first-hand of the very real unscrupulous challenges threatening Glen Austin in general and the biodiversity of this “protected sanctuary” in particular
Midrand Reporter journalist, Sphiwe Masilela, was there and captured these moments.
