Noordwyk Primary School’s playgrounds were packed as parents came to support their children during the school’s fun day event.

It was a little bit cloudy yet hot on November 3, as young learners ran around the grounds from one activity to another such as riding a mechanical bull, rocket parachute, shooting tunnel, merry-go-round and a giant slide.

The school’s principal Lynelle Eloff said the event was aimed at raising funds while ensuring that learners have fun.

“I think our learners have worked hard throughout the year and hopefully they will be refreshed for their exams. I hope we have raised enough funds for the functioning of the school next year,” said Eloff.

Eloff praised the organisers for the work that they had done. “We also wanted to market the school to the larger area of Midrand by assuring parents that there is a school that will provide quality education and extramural activities, not just for those in Noordwyk, but to the greater Midrand area.”
